Early Foundations
I was born in St. Kitts, West Indies and migrated to the United States at the age of four. Although I never saw myself as different, the accent I carried told another story. My parents encouraged me to strive for greatness and never accepted excuses when it came to schoolwork. From an early age, I set out on a path to success.
Finding a Path in STEM
My passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) led me to pursue a degree in Biological Science and later a second degree in Mechanical Engineering. During university, I discovered The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). At the time, I didn’t realize how much it would shape my journey. By graduation, I had served as chapter president and landed my first co-op, which launched my career in the food manufacturing industry and ultimately led me to The Campbell's Company.
Leading with Purpose
Today, I serve as a Senior Project Engineer, delivering projects that drive innovation and strengthen supply chain efficiency. Beyond technical work, I’ve embraced leadership roles as part of Campbell’s Supply Chain Internship Recruitment Team and the Black Resource Group steering committee. Through these platforms, I’ve mentored high school students, participated in career panels, and encouraged young people to see themselves in STEM fields.
Running Across the Globe
Running became part of my life in 2015 when I joined Black Girls Run! What started as a whim has grown into a passion. From 5Ks to half marathons, relays, and the Philadelphia Marathon, each finish line has taught me lessons in accountability, resilience, and perseverance.
No matter where work takes me—from a countryside jog in Wangen im Allgäu, Germany, to an evening workout in North Carolina—I carve out time for movement. Running reminds me that progress is built one step at a time.
Giving Back Through Mentorship
Just as NSBE opened doors for me, I now dedicate time to mentoring students and young professionals. Speaking at events, supporting internships, and serving as a resource for the next generation are some of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I know firsthand the power of guidance, and I strive to pass it forward.
Looking Ahead
The pursuit of greatness instilled by my parents continues to guide me. Whether I’m leading innovative projects, recruiting diverse talent, or inspiring someone to lace up their running shoes for the first time, I want my journey to spark belief in what’s possible.
